DIGITAL FILES
A note about digital file Copyrights, print permissions & watermarked images.
Watermarked images may be used on Facebook™, Flickr™ or other personal photo sharing sites only if the watermark and original photo remain intact in full and are not altered in any way.
Permissions are not granted to post the large resolution, print-ready images on Facebook™, or other online photo sharing sites.
The large resolution images, free of watermarks, are for your personal use only and may not be used for print or web publication, editorial or commercial purposes, resale or for exhibition without written permission.
This is requested to not only protect the copyright, which is owned by AT Gancarz Photography, but to protect you from having your finished print-ready photos taken from the internet without your knowledge and/or consent.
WHY ARE DIGITAL NEGATIVES SO EXPENSIVE?
When you purchase digital files, also called “digital negatives” you are purchasing … well … the negatives! Before digital photography, a photographer would never sell you their negatives, but today’s technology allows us to provide digital negatives while keeping the originals on file.
Purchasing digital negatives means that you have the license to print your custom photos, at a retail lab, for personal use. Keep in mind that the lab you choose may not produce the same quality results as the professional lab your photographer uses.
Although you own the negatives, the copyright for all images remains with AT Gancarz Photography. You may not use them for print or web publication, editorial or commercial purposes, resale or for exhibition without written permission.
Note: Low-resolution, watermarked copies of your purchased images are provided free of charge, for use on social media sites such as Facebook™ & Flickr™.
